Since 2002, I've been teaching and working in two different communities in Connecticut and have loved my students and colleagues there! Since my early retirement, however, I have noticed that I've been missing my connections here in western Mass. -- so I was very pleased when one of my students asked if I would be willing to offer some yoga classes for this very worthy cause which is a fundraiser for The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts. Below is a description of the event from this link: https://www.foodbankwma.org/events/wb4f/
"Will Bike 4 Food (#WB4F) is a fun and active cycling event that allows participants of all levels to join in the fight against hunger. Now celebrating its 10th anniversary, this event has brought together hundreds of dedicated individuals, businesses, and teams to raise funds for The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts.
With the COVID-19 crisis impacting our communities, we know this year’s WB4F will be like no other. But that doesn’t mean we cannot join together to pedal toward a hunger free community. This year, we want you to join us wherever you are.
Ride how you want to, whether up a mountain, on bike trails, or on your stationary bike at home. You can ride as an individual, or start a team with your friends, family or co-workers.
Every $1 raised will provide four meals for our neighbors in need. To date, your support of Will Bike 4 Food has provided over 1 million meals across western Massachusetts. Join us to support our community at this great time of need.
Check back for more details, and follow/like/share our WB4F page on Facebook for updates, announcements, photos from previous events, helpful links, and more!"
